Senior utility surveyor / Utility Survey Manger vacancy
Phase are looking to recruit an experienced utility surveyor to head up our Utility Survey department. We are looking for an individual with significant site-based experience who is looking to take the next step up in their career. The exact role and responsibilities will depend on your experience, skills and to some extent ambition. We want someone who can come in and undertake surveys to the highest possible standard while training junior members of staff. But we also want someone who can assist with growing the department business development.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years commercial UK experience of utility tracing. Experience of radio frequency (electromagnetic) location (RFL / EML) and ground penetrating radar (GPR) is essential. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in our other survey applications including geophysics and topographic surveys but training will be given in these if required. Previous management experience would be useful but is not essential as we can provide training / mentoring as required.
The successful candidate must be motivated, enthusiastic, enjoy working outside and have the ability to work to tight deadlines. Phase is an ambitious non-intrusive survey company. Our utility tracing department is small but we have been able to develop a consistent and varied workload across all of our services and we are now ideally placed to expand and require the right candidates to help us do this. We are based in Newton Aycliffe, near Darlington but undertake surveys across the UK and so the flexibility to work away from home is crucial, as is a full UK driving licence.
If you are looking to further your career and are also interested in gaining experience in a wide variety of non-intrusive survey applications then this could be the position for you.
The remuneration package will be dependent on experience but will be between £27,000 and £35,000.
To discuss the position please contact Mark Whittingham or send a CV and covering letter via email. Please state clearly your current experience and how this relates to the services that we offer as well as details of your current responsibilities and salary.
