WHO WE ARE

join us at phase
Trainee / assistant geophysicist

Phase Site Investigations are a relatively new company with a strong desire to succeed and expand. We have a clear focus of where we want to take the company and we are looking for individuals who will help us achieve this. After a very successful start we are actively recruiting for a trainee / assistant geophysicist to be involved primarily in site based work.

We are looking for a degree qualified applicant (ideally in an earth sciences, geophysics or related discipline) or someone with at least 2 years experience in a relevant field.

A willingness to carry out physically demanding work in often challenging conditions is vital. We undertake surveys across the UK and so the flexibility to work away from home is also crucial.

The successful candidate must be motivated, enthusiastic, enjoy working outside and have the ability to work to tight deadlines. We are looking for individuals who are keen to learn and take on added responsibility as their experience grows. We want our staff, once they are suitably experienced, to be involved in data processing, report writing and eventually to run their own projects.

You will be working in a young and dynamic environment and will gain experience of working on a wide variety of sites, utilising a range of geophysical techniques for many different applications. Our recent projects have involved surveys to locate buried bunkers, archaeological features, mineshafts, cellars and utility apparatus.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right applicant. As our business grows we will recruit additional staff and we aim to expand our work into other areas. If you are with us early on in the growth of our business and you have the right qualities then your responsibilities, and associated rewards, will also grow. If you are interested in joining us then please send a CV and covering letter to enquiries@phasesi.com.

Other positions

We are not currently recruiting for senior positions but we are always interested in receiving CVs from candidates with commercial experience of near-surface geophysics. CVs from experienced utility tracing and topographic surveyors will also be welcomed.
