Nikki Fairs

Nikki Fairs

Nikki has been involved in site investigations for over ten years. Her background was originally in exploration geophysics but after obtaining an MSc in Engineering Geology from Imperial College she has worked in geotechnical engineering for both public and private sector organisations. Nikki has also worked for an engineering geophysics company, where she specialised in brownfield site assessments and developed survey and processing procedures. Nikki brings to Phase Site Investigations an in-depth understanding of the site investigation process incorporating both geotechnical and geophysical expertise.

Nikki loves the great outdoors and has made it her ambition to try and visit all the major natural landmarks the world has to offer. White water rafting is the most fun activity she has sampled on her travels with sky diving being the most terrifying!

Nigel Barker

Nigel Barker

Nigel’s background is in archaeology and geomatics but for the last four years he has primarily been involved in non-intrusive surveys for an engineering geophysics company, where he carried out surveys, was involved in project design, site management and oversaw quality control and training. Nigel’s main areas of expertise are geomatics, archaeological geophysical surveys, utility tracing, soil chemistry and geographical information systems. He brings to Phase Site Investigations his surveying skills, in-depth understanding of archaeology and the utility tracing sector as well as his experience in training and development.

Nigel’s main passion is archaeology and whilst he sometimes gets to mix business with pleasure he would prefer more surveys involving archaic and classical Mediterranean archaeology, preferably near a beach. When not dreaming of the Med, Nigel is a supporter at the Stadium of Light.
